This is a kit of one female socket with cap, connector rubber like vinyl boot, 60 in. fused wiring harness also known as a loom, a special socket mount as shown.
The socket is marine grade and is weather resistant and manufactured of heavy nylon plastic. The socket is protected by an opening cap plus the connector boot/cover makes the socket/mount assembly waterproof. The contacts are nickel plated brass . The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It has .250 quick male connectors. Rated for 15 amps at 12 volts.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug. A locking plug locks into the socket with a quarter turn twist and can’t be pulled out ( see our other listings).
The wire harness or loom is 60 inches long, has female quick connects to plug it into the socket, ring connectors to attach to your battery, waterproof fuse holder and a fuse.
The mount clamps on to the handlebars and clamp the the socket securely the mount. A series of rubber bushings allow the mount to adapt to handlebars from 7/8" to 1-1/4" in diameter. The UV vinyl contact boot slips into the mount and over the socket contacts to protect them from weather.
