The fused plug water is weather resistant with a rubber plug skirt to protect the socket to plug connection from weather .
The BMW socket has a rubber terminal boot to protect the connections. A heavy gauge 8 inch pigtail wire connects the plug to the socket. Rated for 10 amps. The socket can be optionally panel mounted.
Why is this a anti vibration and weather resistant assembly.
