This is a high quality female socket kit The socket is marine grade and is weather and UV resistant. The cap seals the front of the socket, should water get in, the socket is self bailing. The body is rugged plastic for strength and lightweight. The contacts are nickel plated. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1 1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 quick male spade type quick connectors. Rated for 15 amps at 12 volts. Weight 1 oz. This socket draws no power when not in use so it can't run your battery down.
It can be mounted in two ways, against a panel with the retaining nut for panel thickness up to 1-1/4" . The socket with the ring is 2" in diameter. Fits in 1-1/8" hole and is 2" long.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter style plug.
Not for hot lighter plug use.
