The charger insert fits our nylon 12 volt sockets or power outlets as shown ( the socket and USB cable shown are not included in this listing; only the charger insert, cap and boot). The weatherproof cap snaps over the front of the charger to keep moisture out when not in use. The vinyl plug skirt or boot fits over your USB cable plug such that when the plug is in the socket the skirt seals the opening from moisture intrusion. This prevents plug damage and short circuits.
