The socket is heavy nylon plastic marine grade and is weather resistant with sealing cap and terminal boot. The contacts are nickel plated. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1-1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors. The socket is rated at 15 amps for 12 volts. Draws no power when not in use, so it can't run down your battery.
The mount is of UV rubber and can be used with 7/8" to 1" rail or handlebar tubing. The socket press fits into the mount.
The socket works with any standard cigarette lighter plug.
Not for hot lighter plug use.
