Many of the low cost imported sockets are not locking sockets and are made of inferior materials like non UV plastic and steel terminals that can corrode. This socket is a true locking socket that can work with any type of plug and a locking plug. The materials are high grade and the terminals are nickel plated brass. Comes with a rubber sealing and anti vibration mounting washer.
This is a kit a high quality female socket. The socket is marine grade and is weather and UV resistant. The contacts are nickel plated brass and the socket body is heavy gauge. It requires an 1 1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 quick spade type male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel with the retaining nut on panels up to 1-1/4" thick. The rubber mounting washer makes the assembly vibration resistant and seals the panel opening. The socket for 15 amps at 12 volts. Draws no power when not in use, so it can't run down your battery. The socket is 2 inches long from the flange face to the tip of the connectors.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter style or accessory plug and with a locking plug.
