This is a kit of a female socket that mates with a right angle bracket L style and a inline waterproof fuse holder with 15 amp fuse.. The mount has four mounting holes. The socket is marine grade nylon plastic and is UV and weather resistant with its tight fitting socket opening cap and a boot to cover the wire terminal contacts. The contacts are brass and are nickel plated. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1 1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors. Rated for 15 amps at 12 volts DC. Draws no power when not in use, so it can't run down our battery.
The nylon bracket can be mounted two ways: with screws ( screws not provided) attach the the mount to a horizontal surface on a 2"x 2" foot print. Also included are two straps that allow the bracket to be cinched to a frame member, rail or handlebar mount. The Mount is keyed to the socket so that when assembled, the socket will not twist when used with a locking plug.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug. Check our other auction if you need a locking plug. A locking plug looks like a regular male lighter plug but when twisted in this socket can not be pulled unless twisted again.\
The fuse holder has a 8 inch wire loop and holds standard ATC/ ATO automotive type fuses. the tight fiting cap and molded construction make the holder waterproof.
