This is a kit of one female socket with cap, straight rubber cover/boot, and 60 in./ 5 feet fused wiring harness / cable.
The socket is marine grade and made of a heavy nylon plastic. It is very weather resistant with the sealing socket opening cap and the slip-on contact boot. The contacts are nickel plated over brass. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires a 1-1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel or mounting bracket with the retaining nut up to 1-1/4" thick or to thicker surfaces with the compression plate provided. Rated for 15 amps at 12 volts DC. Draws no power when not in use.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug.Â
The wire harness or loom is 60 inches, has female quick connects to plug into the socket, ring connectors to attach to your battery and a automotive style blade waterproof fuse holder and a fuse. Easy to hook up with red for positive and black for negative.
