This is a kit of a female locking socket and plug.
The locking socket is marine grade and is weather and UV resistant plastic. The contacts are nickel plated. The socket opening is protected by a sealing cap. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1 1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel with the retaining nut or for a thicker panel with the compression plate. The socket is rated for 15 amps at 12 Volts. Draws no power when not in use.
The plug is duel contact, non fused plug. The contacts are nickle plated. Positive and negative solder connections.
Not for hot lighter plug use.
